Parking in Ballina Town
There is a pay and display system in operation in Ballina Town. Pay and display tickets must be used in a ticket parking place. Please place ticket on dashboard with expiry time clearly displayed outwards. If you have parked for the maximum period allowed on a street the vehicle must be removed. The requirement to display pay and display ticket and the provision in relation to maximum parking time are only applicable during business hours as indicated on the pay and display machine. Business hours means the period from 8.30a.m. to 6.30p.m. from Monday to Saturday inclusive.
Entry to or use of a ticket parking place is subject to the conditions that the council accepts no liability or responsibility for damage to any person or property or for any loss of any description however caused. Persons entering or using a ticket parking place do so therefore entirely at their own risk.
The charge per hour for parking on the streets is 70c (1 hour maximum)
The charge per hour in the car parks is 50c.
Residents Parking Permit
If you are residing in the town you can apply for a Residents Parking Permit. The fee is €63.49 for the year. An application form has to be filled and acceptable evidence confirming that the vehicle is normally kept at this address supplied. A private utility bill, bank statements etc. addressed to applicant at residence and one of the following showing the residents address: Current Insurance Certificate, Vehicle Licensing Certificate or Registration Book, Driving Licence (Full or Provisional), and any other information requested by Ballina Town Council.

This permit only covers the street the applicant is residing on. 25 free visitors’ discs are also supplied. A new permit lasts for a year.

Long Stay Parking Permits
Long stay monthly parking permits are available for Emmet Street, and the car parks at Humbert Street and Teeling Street for €20 per calendar month or part thereof.
